The Welsh Assembly Government allocates schools a pot of money in the form of a PDG grant. The amount allocated is calculated according to the amount of eFSM – eligible Free School Meal pupils currently on roll
This academic year our Education Minister has increased the allocation from £600 to £700 per pupil.
Schools must prove how they use the money to improve achievement and attainment of pupils in receipt of Free School Meal.
Currently there are 43 FSM pupils 17.8%

Total Grant - £31,050 & Early Years PDG - £700 = £31,750
% of Learning Support Assistants who spend a proportion of their day undertaking individual and group intervention programmes with FSM pupils as required
TLR role (teaching and learning responsibility) to lead and manage provision provided

The amount allocated is calculated according to the amount of pupils currently on roll
The grant is allocated to Foundation Phase Support staff and to support improved provision for continued school improvement, which is allocated to the school development plan.
